Hey Everyone, starting now, I can only do very limited and select photography jobs. I won't be able to shoot events or anything where I have to shoot and retouch images in bulk. I'm committed to another job now and only have time to work on a limited number of images per week. I'm putting all of this on hold for a little while. I'll let everyone know when I'm available again soon. ♥

This 4th of July really wasn't anything to remember. I was happy to see some of my family and I took some photos with the iPhone and hung out at my cousin's bbq on the lake. Went out on the boat with my cousin for a bit and had some margarita's. Saw some fireworks from a far distance and went home. it was nothing like last year. Last year will go down as my most fun and memorable 4th of July ever.

Last Friday after I picked up the Nikon 70-200mm lens I took some test shots of my boyfriend at a junkyard down the street from his house. I actually photographed him at this exact location before but we weren't completely in love with the photos. I adore this shot. I love the colors and the expression. And I really loved that lens. I hope I can own one at some point.

I've been SO insanely busy as of late. As soon as I finish this work load I have piled up, I plan on booking some portrait/boudoir sessions for the rest of the summer/autumn and work on some personal stuff I've been itching to get out of my mind, and also work on some music related stuff for my boyfriend's band and solo project. But for now I have to focus on editing and retouching. I still have to finish up a video from the Halloween Con., I have about 11-14 fashion images to retouch for a client, and a ton of photos and video footage from my friend's wedding to edit and retouch. I'm also back to working an assistant job with Lori Earley 2-3 days out of the week, Tuesdays-Thursdays. So for the rest of this month and into the beginning of July I won't be able to take on any more freelance work. I hate saying no to things but I'll start to loose my mind if I give myself too much work to take on. AND another thing...word on the street is that Photoshop User magazine wants to feature some of my images in their August issue in the NAPP Member Gallery section. So I have to get my images ready and send a short bio by this Friday. I'm so happy about this! I submitted some of my work to them a few months ago and they liked it! It's gonna be so awesome to see my work in one of my favorite magazines. So, I better get started! Ready, GO!!

New Lens & Deep Cut Gardens

I just picked up the Tokina 11mm-16mm super wide angle lens yesterday. I am SO deeply in love with this lens and I'm feeling a lot more inspired to take photos now.

Framing Example for Gas Mask Print

I really wish I could find this exact frame from miniature to really large sizes. I wouldn't be the only happy person to find these frames ready with a black finish. So I wanted to give an example of how the Gas Mask print would look in a frame like this, along with some framing suggestions. It's probably the only image of mine that could get away with this style. I think with a frame like this it really makes the image complete. This photo along with close up detail images are listed on my Etsy print shop here.

This print is also still available through the Help the Gulf Coast shop on Etsy and 100% of the proceeds will go to OxFam America and the National Wildlife Federation. You can check out the listing here.

If anyone out there reading this knows where to find this frame in standard sizes, even if it's a silver, white, or gold finish, please let me know.

I went back to it and made a few tweaks only to realize how much I love this. This was probably a subconscious result of all influence I've been having from the black and white films of Jim Jarmusch, Guy Maddin, and Maya Deren as of late.

I always go to the photos in my flickr favorites when I need some inspiration. These photos of old motel signs, stills from my favorite films, abandoned trailers, desert landscapes, endless roads, vintage lamps, trucks, neon signs, motel rooms, emotive black & white female portraits, elegant erotica etc... seem to have sparked my interest more than any other visual subject over the past few years. Although I still truly admire bits and pieces of it, my interest in "alt" subculture fashion & portrait photography is fading like a withered and tired old woman, and my eyes have been longing for something different for awhile now...

Photography Announcement

I want to let everyone know that I won't be doing photography for hire at this point for personal reasons. However, I will be available for photo retouching 111%. If you have photos you want touched up come to me and I will make them look fantastic! What you see in my photography is not technical camera and lighting skill, it's my retouching.

I apologize to those of you who were interested in doing a shoot with me. I can recommend other photographers if needed, just let me know. I'm not giving up on photography, I'm just going in a different direction. If I need a model I will contact you. With that said, I want to thank all of you for the love & support!!

A friend of mine needed some photos done so we got "The Purple Neon room" at this themed motel. We freaked out to find out the sheets underneath the hideous floral comforter were zebra print. The pillows my friend brought along with her and my purple bondage rope were an excellent touch. Oh, how I love this place.
